Welcome Back Box Office Opening Friday:
The last few months have been very good for Bollywood. We have seen some huge successful films like Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, ABCD 2, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
But the recent back to back flops Bangistan, Brothers and All Is Well have been a disappointment. Now all eyes are now on today’s release John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar’s Welcome Back.
Welcome Back was released today in around 3000 screens. The early estimates suggest that film has taken a very good opening.
The occupancy in the morning shows was around 35-40%. As expected the opening was better in single screens. On the other hand multiplexes were decent to average. Delhi, UP and Gujarat are performing extremely well.
The opening is similar to Akshay Kumar's recent release Brothers. The only difference is the holiday factor as Brother showed huge growth on the Friday evening. Welcome Back is depenedent on the word of mouth which can help it to pick up in the evening shows.
Welcome Back has shown very good growth in the noon and evening shows. The multiplexes which were low in the morning has picked up well. The film is challenging Brothers and ABCD 2 for the second highest opening day of 2015. Unfortunately at some places shows were cancelled due to technical failures.
Looking at the trend it seems that Welcome Back first day collection should be in the range of 13-14 crore. It can go further higher depending on the performance of night shows.
The early reports are positive for Welcome Back. It means that film can show good growth as the day will progress. We will continue to update this page throughout the day with latest reports. We will also post collections from some circuits soon. So bookmark this page and keep visiting.
