During a recent interaction with a leading daily the superstar Salman Khan has opened up about the current state of the Hindi film industry and also stressed that he felt Varun Dhawan reminded him of a younger version of himself.
“They (the younger generation) have also grown up watching us. So each one has lots of shades of all of us. You can tell ki kis raah pe jaa rahe hai. I think Varun Dhawan is like me because he’s seen me forever now. I think Tiger is very talented, so is Sooraj. Sidharth is doing really well right now and Aditya’s there, too.” He added.
Salman also emphasized that one did not need a godfather to be successful in the industry.
“You see so many people who have not made it. Then they use stuff, ‘You know how it works, na. They are from a filmy family, their boyfriend’s a superstar. We don’t have any support or godfather.’ Humara kaun sa godfather tha, yaar? Shah Rukh Khan ka kaun sa godfather tha?” he stated.
Salman Khan will be seen in the wrestling drama Sultan which will release on Eid 2016.
