  2. Hag dia ye bhi china me ..lifetime only 150cr. Shame shame ..china ab Bollywood friendly market hai fir v itna kam china ke standards se

  3. Don’t give wrong information .Aamir wasn’t very big in 90s compared to SRK, Salman or Sunny deol .Aamir have just 2 blockbusters in whole 90s or we can say before Ghajini .Many flops and averages in 90s .
Aamir had no record opener in 90s .his 1st record opener came in 2005, Mangal Pandey .even Ajay devgan and Sunny gave record opener in 90s .I am not Aamir hater .but don’t say he was star from his 1st film or he was biggest in 90s.

    • Mangal pandey wasn’t record opener because of Amir’s stardom. It was in the news since the time it was announced. It was amir’s first movie after nearly 2 years. Amir grew hair and moustache for that film which was the first time in bollywood as actors used fake hair or moustache and there was also news that with that movie amir became the highest paid actor which brought curiosity in people to watch the movie. Also the trailer was well received.
In whole 2000 decade only fanaa was big grosser before ghajini. Yes there were movies like RDB, DCH and Lagaan but they weren’t huge hits.

  4. This movie without appeal has sustained amongst many big releases there…Nice signs for bollywood content fims in China…Padman will rock in China…

hats of Akki….surely it wil cross 150cr

  6. @Prashant
Yes Aamir wasn’t very huge box-office wise in 90’s because he was experimenting too much. Also his commercial choices(Like Awwal Number, Atank Hi Aatank) were really eccentrically bad. But Aamir was a huge star potential wise. He always had a core fanbase due to QSQT and Dil. He was the sensation of every teenagers in 80s and 90s. Whenever he got his cinema right, he delivered be it Raja Hindustani or even Mela in that case(FFs more than Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Wanted, VZ, huge opening).

  7. stardom in 90s and now are totally different things, large part of early 90s and 80s where the lowest point of bollywood both creatively and comercally . star like sunny deol that you think where high in 90s where actually giving disaster after disaster in the early 90s. his career got rejuvenated by ghatak than jeet than he gave blockbuster border after that few hits than went back to disaster stage and again . rejuvenated again by gadder than quickly went back to disaster mode again. even akki once had a hit period in 90s but again went back to disaster mode, all the major stars (aamir , salman, srk, sunny, akki, govinda) has this flop periods , some more some less some even total trash like mithun da, there where many claims who was no. 1 saviour of bollywood like sanjay dutt, sunny deol, big b all three khan at some point . but none of them where no. 1 until kuch kuch hota hai. srk for a few years was considered no.1 until kaho na pyar hai happen than gadder and kaun banega crorepati happen. than again there was no actual no.1 star.

the difference between 90s stardom and now is that now there is something called mega stardom, this unconditional love that a large section of audeince bestow on their stars no 90s star had them thats why there where so many disaster and flop periods. two has achieved this aamir and sallu, even their two movies which didn’t connect with the audience talaash and tubelight had huge opening weekends , talaash even went on and became a success. 90s star where like tiger, ranbir ,ranveer and varun people has condition for giving them love lol. only one star other than the two had the chance to become the third megastar and that was srk after chennai express people where pumped filled with excitement ready to give him unconditional love only if his movies where like 3 idiots or ek tha tiger instead he gave them trash hny.
