Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sultan is making new records even before its release. The film is widest release ever in UAE and is expected to take the highest ever advance booking.

Gulf has emerged as the biggest Bollywood market in overseas. Films like Airlift, Baaghi and Fan performed very well there. Eid period is special as these states have Muslim dominant population and there will be a holiday season. Thus Sultan makers have decided to promote the film on a wide scale in UAE.

Producer Yash Raj Films has also not ruled out a possibility of flying down the actor to Dubai for an iftar meal as part of ‘Sultan’s’ promotional campaign. Meanwhile, the production house has teamed up with Vox Cinemas to allow residents to get into the running to meet Khan in India by booking advance tickets for ‘Sultan’ with the UAE showcaser.

YRF’s head of operations for Middle East and North Africa also told Emirates 24|7 the film has already generated a ‘phenomenal response’ in advance tickets sales across the UAE.

“‘Sultan’s’ advance ticket sales are on track to be the largest for an Indian film in UAE and GCC,” revealed D’Souza. “As a ritual, Salman Khan has ruled the Eid box office for years, with last year’s ‘Bhajrangi Bhaijaan’ taking home the biggest box office collections for a Hindi film in this region. We hope to beat that record with ‘Sultan’.”

He said: “Shah Rukh’s ‘Fan’ had released across 95 locations in the UAE and the GCC market, while ‘Sultan’ will release across 99 locations; 55 of them will be across the UAE alone that could range between 150 to 200 screens.”

Thus Sultan will be the widest release ever in Gulf region. It will also have the highest advance booking ever. So it is safe to say that Sultan is going to shatter all opening records.

      • bahubali record which you are thinking thats is gross records and we are talking net figure – in net figure bb already is ahead and wait u will see more records from sultan very soon

        • Oh hello I think you are in dreams bro…..
Bb is a regional movie means the extra charges is less so nett collections are higher but gross are less…..
Waise bhi nett collections mein bahubali ne bb ko peeche chord diya hai aur gross mein bb a age hai because Hindi movies have more gross value….
If you didn’t know this then ask anyone also read Bollywood arena article in regional movie section regarding this….
Kuch bhi bolne se nhi chalta
