Sultan 3rd Day Box Office Collection: Salman Khan’s latest release Sultan is riding high at the box office. After a bumper opening day, Sultan recorded highest second day ever in the history of Bollywood. Meanwhile, the film has maintained a solid pace on its third day. Here is the Sultan collection report for the whole day.
Sultan 3rd Day Box Office Collection
Update: Sultan collection continues to shatter records even on the third day. The film has once again extraordinary run in the evening/night shows. It was running to packed houses with 90-95% occupancy which is almost same as yesterday. That is incredible, to say the least as yesterday was a National holiday. As per the official figures, Sultan 3rd day collection is 31.50 crore.
It has a good start in the morning with around 35% occupancy. From afternoon onwards it started to pick really well. The film was running like a riot in North India where it has found huge appreciation. The occupancy in the evening shows was extremely high and was even matching the first day at some places. It will also set 3 days record in some circuits. West Bengal and Gujarat did not show much improvement despite the fact it was low yesterday. The language can be the barrier.
Sultan collection on the third day has witnessed a slight drop from Thursday. It is normal for big films released during festive periods. The word of mouth has been on the positive side so far which will ensure a good jump over the weekend. Sultan box office collection in 3 days will be around 105 crores. When the official figures will be out, Sultan collection in three days will challenge the highest opening weekend collection.
Highest Opening Weekend
- Happy New Year – 108.86 Cr
- Dhoom 3 – 107.61 Cr
- Bajrangi Bhaijaan 102.6 Cr
- Prem Ratan Dhan Payo – 101.47 Cr (3 days of extended weekend)
- Chennai Express – 100.42 Cr
Sultan 3rd day collection is slightly lower than first two days. But the trend is looking much better as first day was partial holiday and the second day was a National Eid holiday. So, in this case, the big drop that comes on the second day after the bumper opening has not fallen yet. Trade is speculating that the Sultan collections will do anything beyond Rs 150 crore during the first weekend, which is five-day long due to Eid on Thursday.
It will also be Salman Khan’s 10th consecutive 100 crore grosser. This is a feat which no other actor has achieved so far. Sultan has done well in first three days. The film has shown excellent trends so far which means it has been accepted. The film will need a 25 crore+ collection on Saturday and Sunday.
