India is all set to witness the biggest and most awaited Hollywood release Star Wars The Force Awakens.

It is the seventh installment in Star Wars franchise. The film has its worldwide premiere on 18 December and shattered many opening records in key markets.

Earlier it was scheduled to release on 18 December but later on it was pushed to 25th due to Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani release. That smart decision has paid off really well as all the hype and buzz around Dilwale and BM has decreased now.

The film is being distributed by Disney India and UTV Motion Pictures. The company has collaborated with 50 brands for massive promotional campaigns. Media estimates put the total value of the brand tie-ins at close to Rs 30 crore. These include the likes of ICICI Bank, Amazon, HP, Hamleys, among others.

The film has received rave reviews. The screening will be started in the evening at multiplexes. The advance booking is terrific for the evening and tomorrow. The Christmas holiday will give a huge boost to the collections. It can also make a dent in the collections of Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani.

Stay tuned for all the updates of Star Wars The Force Awakens.
