Spectre & PRDP 2nd Sunday Box Office Collection Update:
James Bond’s Spectre has a decent growth on its second day. The film has collected around 7.02 crore on Saturday.
This is around 12% growth from Friday which is not up to the expectations. Normally big Hollywood releases tend to show huge growth on Saturday. But it has not happened with Spectre. We told you yesterday that the film has received mixed response from audience.
It has also collected 2.20 crore from its previews on Thursday. So the total collection has surpassed 15 crore. The last James Bond film Skyfall collected around 46 crore in its lifetime run. It will be interesting to see if Spectre can went on to beat that.
The film did very well in urban multiplexes as there was not much of a competition. But it was little weak outside metros where Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is still strong.
Box Office Collection
On Sunday, Spectre has a slightly better start in the morning shows. It should grow around 40% today as Saturday was not up to the mark.
The other Hindi release X: Past & Present continues its poor run. The second day collection is again under 10 lakhs. Most of the shows for the film were cancelled. It is a total washout.
PRDP 11th Day Collection Update:
Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has a good start on its second Sunday. The single screens has witnessed healthy growth from yesterday. But on the other hand multiplexes are down. The release of Spectre is also another factor.
The film has been shortened around 20 minutes for the second week run. Some songs and sequences have been deleted. But the damage has already been done. The makers should have made this move after the opening weekend.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has collected around 10 crore so far in the second weekend. PRDP 2nd Sunday collection is heading for over 8 crore. So the second weekend will be in the range of 17-18 crore. On grounds it is a decent result but ideally should have been much better.
