Shivaay Review by Bollywood Arena
Overall, Shivaay is a colossal disappointment. Despite some breathtaking visuals, it is too much messy. Especially, Indian audience will find it tough to digest 3 hrs long drama about human trafficking set in Bulgaria.
Shivaay Review by KoiMoi
Shivaay seems high on never ending action and loud emotion. Visuals don’t fill the void of the missing storyline and hence a 2/5 for the film.
Shivaay Review by Bollywood Life
Shivaay has spectacular action scenes, perhaps the best we have seen this year. Watch it for that and the emotional storyline of a father-daughter relationship.
Shivaay Review by Bollywood Hungama
SHIVAAY is an emotional action thriller that touches upon the relationship between a father and his daughter and the extent to which he goes for her.On the whole, SHIVAAY is a perfect emotional thriller that scores high on the account of its breathtaking visuals, amazing action and a high octane performance by Ajay Devgn. At the Box-Office, the extended weekend in the form of the festival holiday will prove to be bountiful for the film. Don’t miss this one.
Shivaay Review by India Today
The story of Shivaay has more meanders than the river Nile. It starts off in the Himalayas, reaches half the world away in Bulgaria. While the location shifts only a few thousand miles, events in the story are light years away from any sense or logic. Watch Shivaay if you have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE TO DO. Else watch a documentary on mountaineering. Or child trafficking. Or Bulgaria. Or whatever you want to. (Just a special mention for the company which made the tent that weathered pretty much everything.)
Shivaay Review by Hindustan Times
Devgn’s stunts are a treat to watch, but that’s about it. Shivaay treks trough high altitudes, but the film keeps waiting for him to return to the valley with a string attached to his legs.
Shivaay Review by DNA
If you’re an adventure junkie, Shivaay is the film for you. And even if you aren’t, Shivaay will make you one. Prepare for action and stunts like never before.
Shivaay Review by Indian Express
Shivaay ultimately suffers from the malice of overdose. An overdose of action and an overdose of melodrama, both of which should have been chopped off at the editing table. Perhaps it would have been better had Ajay focused only on acting and deputed experts behind the camera.
Shivaay Review by NDTV
Shivaay is obviously Ajay Devgn’s film all the way – he is in virtually every frame. His body tattooed with the lord’s locks, serpent and trident, he is Shiva’s own man on earth. However it is a Misfire of Himalayan Proportions.
Shivaay Review by Filmibeat
Watch Shivaay only if you are a sucker for action scenes and don’t mind spending huge bucks to witness a scene in the film where a random girl describes Ajay’s character as ‘hot and sexy’ to Erika!
Shivaay Review by Deccan Chronicles
Shivaay is not the light fun crackerjack Diwali film you’d like to sit through this festive season. It is laden with an overbearing darkness which eclipses all of the film’s efforts to pull us into its embrace. The proceedings get so edgy that they finally topple over.
Shivaay Review by Rediff
Devgn might believe Shivaay is a piece of Shiv, but there’s an obvious typo there. To evoke a truly superb avalanche-filled film, this one may as well have been called Force Manure.
