Fan may not have performed well at the Indian box office. But the lead actor Shahrukh Khan has some other plans in his mind. The actor says he never expected the audience in the to like a film without song and dance numbers. He also plans to celebrate the success of Fan with the team.
“Aditya Chopra (producer of ‘Fan’) has gone for ‘Befikre’ in Paris and I am going to London but one day I am going to sit down with the team of ‘Fan’ and celebrate. We spent long hours to make this film… so in a few days I will call for a get-together.”
Shah Rukh also said he expected the film not to be universal in its appeal.
It’s not a film that heartland audience will like. But we took a chance thinking hopefully they will like it, but they need song and dance. I am not unrealistic. There is thinking and talking audience that sees world cinema and assumes our cinema should reach there soon. Then there is an audience in the heartland of the country which believes still in values and thoughts and entertainment in a certain way.”
Fan has collected 64 crores in its first five days and is likely to finish its lifetime run under 100 crores.
