Shahid Kapoor is all set to collaborate with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali for his next project. They worked last together in Jab We Met which was released in 2007. The director-actor duo will start working on the project next year after Shahid wraps up Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gull Meter Chalu.

Shahid Kapoor confirmed the news yesterday. He said, “We are going to do something soon together and I am really excited. I think Imtiaz is a phenomenally talented filmmaker. We made a film together towards the beginning of both our careers and its something people still talk about.”

“Jab We Met is very special and to work with the guy, who gave me Aditya Kashyap (the name of his character in the film) and whose work I have loved over the years, will be amazing.” The actor was speaking at the Zee Cine Awards last night here.

Shahid said the films subject is different from what they have done in the past. “It is very exciting and interesting,” he added.

There were reports that it will be a sequel to Jab We Met.

No expectations from an Imtiaz film.his films are very urban ,niche and limited appealing.why SRK signed JHMS ? His fan following is in every corner of India .then why he is doing films for just 5 metro audiences ?

Bill Gates, no less, has listed six positive things that happened in 2017 (which has been ‘a tough year’) and the second of these six is.. wait, for it – Akshay Kumar’s film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. “Toilet: A Love Story, a Bollywood romance about a newlywed couple, educated audiences about India’s sanitation challenge,” tweeted the Microsoft co-founder.

Problem with directors like imtiaz, vushal and anurag is that they think films like jhms, rangoon are pqn indian films. .shahid kapoor ruined his career doing films with limited appealing directors..even if they are making it..it should be low budget..irrfan and nawaz are clever and does both sidekick roles…irrfan has hollywood films..nawaz is best choice for 2nd lead in films..

Rajkumar rao does nt repeat himself..bt actors like ssr amd shahid who has potential to dlgive commercial success are wasting them doing films with vishal, dibakar and imtiaz

  6. Yesterday saw the name of movie “Hitchki” and it instantly reminded me of “Aave Re Hichki” song. Since yesterday the song kept playing in mind and today heard it after a long time.
