We have reported few days back that the sequel to Salman Khan’s 2014 blockbuster film Kick is in its scripting phase. According to the latest reports Kick 2 won’t be as action-packed as the original, it seems. The actor has categorically asked the makers of the film to tone down the action in the sequel. It is apparently part of his plan to slowly veer away from violence and into softer roles.
As reported by Deccan Chronicle, “Salman is consciously cutting down on the action in his films. He wants to do milder films with a strong social message. His recent films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo were made on the same lines. Yes, he is doing Sultan, which involves a fair amount of action, but that’s because he had committed to it a while ago. He met the makers of Kick recently and asked them to rework the draft of the film in a way that it excludes unnecessary violence. It is still in the scripting stage, so it isn’t much of a hassle to make changes.”
