Salman Khan confirms that he is doing a dance film next

Recently there were speculations in the trade that Salman Khan will be seen in a dance drama film. The actor has now confirmed the same in his latest interview.

Salman spoke with HT where he was quizzed whether he is fine with playing a father on-screen. “I played a father in Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai when I was in my 30s. I’ve been there and done that. And in my next film, I’m playing the father to a 13-year-old girl.”

“It’s a film about dancing. Like the Hollywood Step Up franchise. I’m going to be a properly trained dancer. You know how painful that is? Sultan was also painful. I had to lose 18 kilos of muscle. I’m not into diets. I eat ghar ka khana. And I don’t eat for taste. As soon as I’ve got my proteins and carbs, I leave the table. So, to lose 18 kilos of muscle was the most difficult thing on the earth. But I’ve always believed that effortless hard work should be seen onscreen. And that’s what I’ve been doing from Wanted to Sultan.”

He added, “I don’t see myself doing character roles. So what if I’m 51? Stallone is still Rocky and Rambo at 70. Filmmaking is the most beautiful industry. We sell dreams. Why shouldn’t I live mine?”

The name of the director has not been revealed yet though there are some reports that it will be Remo D’Souza. As of now Salman has two confirmed projects in his kitty. Tubelight releasing on Eid and Tiger Zinda Hai on Christmas.

Kick2 won’t be a good choice as prequel was itself a mediocore flick n same is the case of Dabangg3 n good part is that he knows that thats why he is postponing masala movies from sometime

      • Who told you Kick 2 was mediocre? It come after dud Jai Ho….still created hysteria all over the country and managed to become 2nd highest ATG. What’s more you could expected???

i,a die-hard fan of salman is saying it bcoz as a movie i didn’t like n especially after BB n sultan it will b crime to do movie like these,if he wants to do an action movie then he should movie like ekthatiger which is the best action movie of indian cinema till date n so this year both tubelight n tzh will do 300cr

  1. Remo is not a good director..Though I also don’t want Salman to do films like Dabbang 3 or KICK 2,..He should do more like Bajrangi Bhaijaan or Sultan kind of cinema if he is to sustain for a longer time

    • @sumbuddha,

Ali Abbas Jafar was also not a good director. But see the result of Sultan. For Bhai movies directors, heroines etc don’t really matter.

  6. Salman start going down from 2017.
His tube light will be average.
His TZH with plastic faced Kat will be a disaster.
SC verdict takes him to jail.
There he will regret for his sins towards men and animal.
Come out with a changed person and a buda of 55, last seeks solace on spiritually.

    Salman fans, get a grip.
