Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Advance Booking:
This Friday will witness one of the biggest releases of the year, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Salman Khan starrer has a huge buzz and hype around. The advance booking for the film has opened to a phenomenal response at multiplexes and single-screens across India.
In single screens, tickets have been sold as hot cakes. Looking at the trend it seems that there will be no tickets available on Thursday. The multiplexes have also decent start and has picked up its pace rapidly today.
While tickets were sold out for November 12, 13 and 14 in single screen theatres, multiplex owners say that 40-45% seats were booked by Monday – for a film which releases on Thursday. Sixty to eighty percent screen space has been allotted to PRDP.
As expected, the film has the best booking in Delhi and Punjab where around 70% of the tickets have been sold. At some places the film is houseful for the whole weekend.
The advance booking in Mumbai is 60% which is huge. Gujarat and Rajasthan has also good start of around 50%. Kolkata which is considered a classy circuit has also pretty good advance.
In down South, Vedalam and Thoonga Vanam have affected PRDP advance booking. But both films have been released two days earlier, so the impact will not be that huge.
Happy New Year released with the highest pre-booking in Bollywood ever of a whooping 45 cr rupees. Reportedly around 80% tickets of that film were sold one day before release.
Overall the advance booking for PRDP is huge. So far it is the best of this year beating Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Looking at the advance booking, it is expected that Prem Ratan Dhan Payo can have the highest occupancy around 75-80% and can shatter many records. While 35-40 crore is very much on the cards, it will be interesting to see if it can go further to beat Happy New Year opening day record.
