Prem Ratan Dhan Payo has a historical opening day. According to official figures Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 1st day box office collection will be 40.35 crore. The film was hit by low occupancy in the night shows.

Salman Khan starrer has an Earth shattering opening in the morning shows. The overall occupancy was 80% which was the best of 2015. The opening was huge in all over India both at single screens and multiplexes. As the day progressed, it showed very good growth. The occupancy in the afternoon shows was around 95%. The film was running like a riot in Delhi, Rajasthan and Mumbai.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo 1st day collection will be second highest opening day ever. The film was competing with Shahrukh Khan’s Happy New Year. There were high chances that it will beat HNY. It had also crossed HNY’s figure in some of the circuits.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo collection on day 1 is also the highest for any Salman Khan starrer. The previous best was recently Ek Tha Tiger. In fact it is the highest opening day for everyone associated with the film.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo box office collection is an excellent on its day 1. Though the film was affected a bit in South where Vedhalam is doing phenomenal business. That’s why its Telugu version performed very poor.

The film has received decent response from audience. It will be interesting to see how it will perform on Friday. Normally the film tends to show considerable drop after a major holiday. The challenge for PRDP will be to collect over 30 crore tomorrow. If it does so, there will be no stopping for it.

  12. I am the biggest salman fan in the world, but even I am saying it will not be anywhere near 400cr. At the going rate I will be happy if it beats aamirs 340cr pk made. But it’s still a mystery to me how a rubbish film like hny made 44.9cr that released on the same day last year. When u compare everything Salman is a much much bigger star then shahrukh, soorajji is ten times better than farah can ever be and prdp is much better film than hny. I can’t believe it.
