Phantom Movie Review

Phantom is based on the book Mumbai Avengers by Hussain Zaidi. In the film Saif Ali Khan aka Daniyal Khan is a former Army officer who was kicked out due to a tragic incident. Later on Daniyal has been hired by RAW for a mission to kill the masterminds terrorists of horrific 26/11 attacks on Mumbai belonging from Pakistan. In the journey he meets Katrina Kaif aka Nawaz Mistry, a former RAW agent who now works as a security counselor and supplies arms to refugee camps. She helps Saif on his mission. Daniyal wishes to meet the LET leader and its members by hook or by crook. When he reached Pakistan, there follows a shocking turn of events, gripping action scenes and more. Will he be able to succeed in his mission to kill the most wanted terrorists in India? Watch the film to find out.

After giving us a heartfelt film like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kabir Khan has lived up to our expectations yet again with Phantom. This venture will keep you on the edge of your seat since the start. The pace of the story line is fast which is its strong point. Phantom is a straight forward take on terrorism and Kabir does not shy away to show the reality without being diplomatic.

Though the script has some flaws but the film has not much dull moments. The editing is very good while screenplay is also promising. The music by Pritam is extremely catchy. The special mention will be Arijit Singh’s Saware. The background score works as it lifts many scenes in the film. The cinematography is excellent.

Saif Ali Khanis good as an ex Army officer except that his expressions can seem a bit blank at times. Katrina Kaif has also done a reasonable job.
