The last few months have been very good for Bollywood. We have seen some huge successful films like Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, ABCD 2, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
But the recent back to back flops Bangistan, Brothers and All Is Well have been a disappointment. Now all eyes are now on today’s release Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif's Phantom.
Phantom was released today in around 2000 screens in India. The early trends show that film has taken an average opening at the box office.
Phantom has a slow start in the morning shows. The overall occupancy was in the range of 25%. The film has a better opening at multiplexes while it has fared extremely poor in single screens. Similarly it has started off decently in bigger cities. Rajhasthan and CI were low while Mumbai and Delhi are performing better.
The film will show good growth in the evening shows as these type of films which have more of an urban feel usually grow. The film has been affected in Gujarat as many theaters are sgut down due to the unrest. The opening is better than Saif Ali Khan's last film Happy Ending.
Phantom is showing a reasonable growth in the evening shows. But still that growth is not up to the mark. The film has only picked up at multiplexes while single screens remain poor. Looking at the trend, it seems that Phantom will collect in the range of 6.5-7 crore.
The early reports are positive which will make sure that it will have a good growth in the evening. We will continue to update this page throughout the day with latest reports. We will also post collections from some circuits soon. So bookmark this page and keep visiting.
