Padmaavat continues its historic run in the overseas markets. The film has crossed the 100 crores mark in overseas in just 6 days of its release.
As of now the overseas gross of the film stands at approx $15.75 million plus. The best-performing markets are North America and Australia where the film is heading for an all-time record grosser beating PK and Dangal. Gulf is a bit underperforming ($3.25 m) as compared to other places. But it is still a decent number considering the genre.
Padmaavat has crossed the lifetime overseas business of Bajirao Mastani, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Raees. Currently, it is the 13th highest overseas grosser of all time. But it will enter into the top 10 list in the second weekend replacing Tiger Zinda Hai.
Overall Padmaavat is heading for a blockbuster status in overseas markets. The lifetime gross will easily go over $25 million and can even cross $30 million. This will give the film an outside chance to become the highest overseas grosser of all time excluding Aamir Khan starrers. (Dangal, Secret Superstar, PK and Dhoom 3 were released in China).
