Nepotism does exist in Bollywood: Ranbir Kapoor

6

The debate around nepotism in Bollywood has been going around for quite some time. While celebrities like Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor, Varun Dhawan etc have denied the existence of nepotism, Ranbir has something else to say.

Ranbir Kapoor who as promoting his upcoming film Jagga Jasoos with Katrina Kaif via Facebook Live, was asked about his take on nepotism. Without giving it a second thought, he said, “Of course, it exists.”

Adding, “It exists everywhere, but more so in the film industry. But how I see it, I can only speak of my family. I believe my great-grandfather worked really hard to give his children an opportunity in their professional life. I would like to work hard for my children so that they get the right opportunity, platform, the right first film. After that, it’s about your talent. So, yes, honestly, it does exist.”

Jagga Jasoos is gearing up to release on 14th July 2017.

  1. Honest guy…..I like Varun Dhawan but how can he say nepotism does not exist….there are many actors in India better than him but he only got a chance because his father himself launched him in Karan Johar’s directorial venture….I accept that it is eventually the actor’s talent and work but how the hell would he be launched if he wasn’t David Dhawan’s son?? And LOL I can’t even stop laughing about Sonam Kapoor……..no talent at all (except Neerja she overacted in EVERY film)….such HYPOCRITES these

  2. Varun dhawan already said even before Ranbir than nepotism exist in Bollywood. Here is what he said “It’s the truth. Nepotism exists in the industry and has been there for a while. Kangana must be correct in her own experience. But the power of deciding who will be a success or not lies with the audience eventually”.
