The release date of filmmaker Neeraj Pandey’s biopic on cricket icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been pushed once again. Sushant Singh Rajput starrer ‘M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story’ which was scheduled to release on September 2 will now release on September 30 instead.

The decision was taken by the makers in order to present the film in the best way. “It was a unanimous decision to release the film on September 30. This would give the team some more time to present the film to the audiences in the best way. We in no way wanted to compromise on the visual experience that Neeraj Pandey is set to create with this movie,” Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, said in a statement.

Sushant made the announcement on Instagram as he wrote,

#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory will release on 30th September 2016. A little more waiting, but it’s gonna be worth it :)

“The postponement of the release date by three weeks will only help the post production team to further augment the value proposition of the film. This is one of the most-awaited films of the year and I am sure fans will understand that the marginal delay will only help enhance the visual experience of the end product,” Arun Pandey, Chairman of Rhiti Group-owned Inspired Entertainment, said.

  1. I think Rustom will postpone to 2 and September.
Rustom and Mohenjodaro each movie can become huge crossers but with clash it will be tough. So its a golden opportunity for Rustom makers and moreover its a good release date to release any film.

They should move bcz I think Mohenjodaro deserves a Festive release but unfortunately it didn’t get it. ( its budget is also is huge). So its definitely deserves the Aug 12 solo release .

Hope Rustom and Mohenjodaro will become huge grossers

  2. A very very good Decision from the makers of Dhoni.

Now a days most of the big films failing to meet the expectation of people and a good post production work can help the makers to create neat VFX/ graphic work and good editing and more. Really appreciating the makers .

I am not a fan of Dhoni but anyway its one of my most anticipated film of this year

    • Good vfx….bro Indian producers acn never use quality vfx as it will led their budget very high which will be impossible for all makers to recover their investment at least……
