Raabta starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon is set to release on 9 June 2017. The promotions of the film are going in full swing. However, after the release of the trailer, it was revealed that the film had striking similarities with SS Rajamouli’s Magadheera starring Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal.
Interestingly the producers of Raabta have not bought the rights of Magadheera. So it looked like an unofficial remake which raised many eyebrows. The fans were quick to realize that and the media also picked up the story.
Now the makers of Magadheera have gone to the court seeking injunction. Team Magadheera contends that Raabta film copied its unique story and plot line in violation of its copyright. The Hyderabad court issued notice and posted the matter to June 1 to decide if Raabta should be permitted to release on June 9.
