The most awaited release Kabali will hit the screens tomorrow. Right now, Rajinikanth fever is soaring high throughout the country and cinema lovers are going crazy about his upcoming release Kabali.

A Mumbai theatre is all set to screen Kabali round-the-clock. It will be playing six shows of the Rajini starrer on Friday. First screening will reportedly be held at 3am, followed by 6am, 10am, 3pm, 6pm and 9pm respectively. “All the seats for all the shows are fully booked,” theatre owner Nambi Rajan told IANS.

Advance bookings for the film opened this week and they have seen a great response. Last Friday when pre-booking counters opened in Chennai, tickets were sold out within minutes.

“Kabali has created history as far as the advance booking is concerned. It has a global reach. The response has been phenomenal and for the entire week, everything has been booked. We even had bulk booking from some of the corporate firms,” says a spokesperson of a leading multiplex.

The minimum ticket price is 120, but people are willing to shell out more than that, approximately five times higher than the original price. Ram Kumar, advertising professional adds, “Obviously, when there’s a huge investment involved, ticket prices will be naturally high. When I tried to book two tickets, I couldn’t even get through. Minutes after online bookings opened, everything just got over.”

The opening day itself will be a Thalaiva festival with a huge procession of Rajinikanth fans after prayers at the famous Ram Mandir, a traditional band of huge drums, dancing and celebrations marking “Kabali”.

A theatre manager said that well known ophthalmologist S. Natarajan of Aditya Jyot Eye Hospital – himself a die-hard Rajini fan – will conduct a free eye camp for all. Rajinikanth fan clubs from all over Mumbai will organise blood donation drives at the cinema hall and the patrons will also contribute to various charities on the opening day.
