Kaabil Vs Raees Advance Booking Report
Shahrukh Khan starrer Raees and Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil are gearing up to hit the screens on 25th January. We are also set for the much anticipated clash and will have an exclusive coverage. The advance booking of both films has begun in full swing. But the early trends are suggesting that Raees has taken a big lead over Kaabil in terms of advance.
Raees Advance Booking Report:
SRK starrer Raees has opened to a very good response for the advance booking. The start is pretty good in Delhi/NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat belt. Due to the mid week release, the advance for Wednesday morning is on the lower side in Mumbai and is higher for evening and Thursday which is a national holiday. The major multiplexes will record a good occupancy. Delhi is Shahrukh Khan’s hometown while Gujarat belt will get a boost due to the local flavor.
But the best advance has come in Kolkata which is Shahrukh Khan’s strongest hold. Even morning shows are sold out in Kolkata and the shows for the later half of the day are also going housefull. This is crazy as the genre is not even state friendly but the name of SRK is enough to have big draws there. Another SRK starrer Dilwale also opened to an excellent response in Bengal. In down South, theater owners have not decided yet about the screen allocation. The available screens are already housefull.
Overall Raees has sold around 25-30% tickets so far and the ticket sale should be around 6-7 crore after the end of the day. The ticket rates of Raees have been hiked at some places.
Kaabil Advance Booking Report:
Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has a decent advance and is slightly better than expectations. The film is carrying good reports and the buzz of the film has increased in last week or so. It has definitely helped the film to have a decent advance booking.
The film is decent in Mumbai where it has recorded good advance for the evening shows. It is also better down South due to the presence of Hrithik Roshan. Almost all of the shows are housefull in Hyderabad. Kaabil will have more appeal in Maharashtra and South due to the genre. It is weak in North India and will largely depend on the word of mouth there. Kaabil is also extremely low in Bangalore and Pune. Overall Kaabil has sold around 15% tickets so far.
As of now Raees has a big lead over Kaabil. So far the advance booking of Raees is good while for Kaabil it is decent. Still there is one day left and we hope that the advance will pick up for both films. As far the opening day is concerned, Raees is expected to lead by a good margin. But after day 1, word of mouth will come into play and better film will lead.
