Housefull 3 Trailer Review
The makers of Housefull 3 have released the trailer of the film on Sunday. The film features an ensemble cast including Akhshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri.
The story starts with Boman Irani living in London, introducing his sanskaari daughters – Jacqueline, Lisa and Nargis, who are subsequently seen dancing in a cruise party on a song just want to have fun. Batuk Patel adds that he does not want to get his daughters married. Next half of the trailer shows how Batuk’s daughters try to convince him about their respective boyfriends, played by Akshay, Riteish and Abhishek. Eventually, the girls end up lying about their boyfriends. Here comes Jackie Shroff and he asks for an exorbitant amount from Batuk Patel, failing which he won’t allow the three marriages to take place.
The trailer isn’t completely unfunny but it does lack the punch of the previous Housefull instalments. Despite sticking to the genre, Sajid-Farhad’s writing has definitely made a dent. The film, in spite of all its flaws is expected to set our ribs tickling. But it’s Akshay Kumar’s coming timing that stands out in this average trailer. While some dialogues do sound genuinely funny, there are certain sequences which have been done to death a zillion times. On the contrary, there are some rip-roaring moments as well. Like Nargis introducing Abhishek as “Ye to kisi bade baap ka beta lagta ha” and Abhishek taking a selfie with Amitabh Bachchan’s wax statue in Madame Tussauds museum.
♦ Akshay Kumar’s comic timing
♦ Few Punchlines
♦ Music looks promising
♦ Abhishek Bachchan looks miscast
♦ Repeated sequences
Housefull 3 Trailer Review: Verdict
The trailer does bring in a few laughs but it could have been way better. There is no doubt that the film will open huge but Housefull 3 is coming at a time when only content is working at the box office. It will be interesting to see how this film will fare at the box office.
