Gold has another big fall on Monday as the film grossed around 3.75 crores. The drop is considerable if we compared it to Sunday or the opening day.
This is the second big drop for Gold as it had already fall on the second day of its release. It probably means that the film will not be able to emerge as a clean hit. Gold has found appreciation among the metro audience so the drop on Monday was inevitable. The holiday factor has boosted the business otherwise the lifetime could have been even lower. Now the only hope for the film is to maintain the steady pace over the weekdays and show growth on Eid holiday.
Satyameva Jayate also fell on Monday but it trended better than Gold. It collected approx 3.50 crores which is a reasonable hold and might be enough for the film to become a hit. It will now only need to maintain the same pace and the job will be done. The lifetime gross could be less than Gold but in terms of financial prospects, it has fared better than Akshay Kumar starrer in the clash.
