Dilwale Friday Box Office Collection Update:

2015 has proven to be an average one for Bollywood. There have been only two blockbuster films Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While there have been too many disappointments like Brothers, Tevar, Tamasha etc.

Now all eyes are now on final release of the year, Shahrukh Khan starrer Dilwale and Ranveer Siingh and Deepika Padukone’s Bajirao Mastani.

Dilwale was released today in around 2800+ screens. The early trends suggest that film has taken an excellent opening.

Dilwale Morning Shows Report:

The overall occupancy in the morning shows was around 70% in all over India which is huge. The opening was Earth shattering in West Bengal where it may come out as the highest opening day of 2015 despite releasing in fewer screens. The film is running like a riot in Delhi and East Punjab with houseful at most of the places. This is just unbelievable as the weather is very cold in the morning there. The Mumbai circuit is also showing 60% occupancy.

The family audiences are showing huge turnaround in cinemas. The opening is third best of this year. Despite the fact that film was released on a non holiday and was competing against a big film Bajirao Mastani.

The film has to sustain well now in the evening shows. The very early response seems to be on the positive side.

Noon Shows Report:

Dilwale was super strong in the noon shows as per the reports are coming. The film has shown growth in parts of North. Mumbai was a little below where Bajirao Mastani is ding well. SRK starrer continues to dominate in West Bengal.

Overall things may looks terrific but Dilwale was released in less screens so obviously occupancy would be higher.

Update 5:15 PM:

Dilwale has slowed down a bit in afternoon shows. It is normal for big releases. But here the screen count was less so ideally it should have held better.

Evening Shows Report:

Dilwale has shown very good growth in the evening shows. The film is rocking in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mysore. The multiplexes are showing around 80% occupancy in all over India. It is hit a bit in Maharashtra belt by Bajirao Mastani. Overall the film will fall short of expectations and predictions on its 1st day.
