Dilwale 2nd Sunday Collection (10th Day) Update:

The early trend suggest that Dilwale has a decent start on its second Sunday. The film has shown growth as compared to yesterday.

Box Office Report:

The film has managed occupancy of around 30-35% in the morning shows. It is around 10% higher than yesterday. Today is holiday so it was always expected.

It showed growth in the noon shows. The occupancy was recorded up to 55-60%. The trend is looking good for the SRK starrer. The signle screens are doing very well. Though multiplexes are being dominated by Bajirao Mastani and Star Wars The Force Awakens.

Things could have been different if the film would have performed better on Friday. But it could not take advantage of the Christmas holiday. So the decent hold over the weekend will not make a much difference in the longer run.

The screen count has been decreased. The number of shows at multiplexes are also being reduced. Though it is still dominating in the interiors and small centers.

  1. imran forbs ne salman khan ko duniya ka sb s bada star bta diya status padh bollyarena ka….ab party to bnti h bhai…manna mat kariyo

  2. Today 8, 2nd weekend 23-24 crore, 10 day total 125-127 crore. Now all depend on Monday, if They collect Less than 4 crore the lifetime will be arround 150, if They collect more than 4 or 4 lifetime can be arround 160-170. Worldwide can be 400 crore. Finalmente story; Bajirao 170+ HIT Dilwale 150+ HIT, Bajirao win in India, But Worldwide Srk win again, the streak continue, is ONLY the 2nd loose in India after against Sunny Deol.
SRK HAVE TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO CHOSE A SCRIPT AND THE RELASE DAY, IF THE MOVIE WAS RELASE IN 25 DECEMBER THE COLLECTION WAS 35 1ST DAY 30 2ND DAY AND 35 3D DAY 100+ WEEKEND.
IM A BIG FAN OF SRK BUT HE HAVE TO RELASE SOLO…

    • Factsssss. At least one of the movies should’ve performed later not the same day. Someone should’ve back out

  3. This is good enough trend to take dilwale lifetime more than 160 crore in India. It’s performance is really good considering limited shows nd screens. Had major single screens given to dilwale the story would hv been different. Bcz its performing very well on single screens.

  4. Till today dilwale 126crore then tommorow is acid test if somehow it collectd 5-6 crore everyday till thursday then 143 then new year 13 remaining 10. Final 165-176.
    Verdict-hit.
    Bajirao till today 119 till thursday 25 144 newyear 23 remaining 15 . Final 175-190
    Verdict-hit.

  5. Both movies will end up as hits. Dilwale though will earn a little less than BM, but due to lower Production cost it will be a hit and at par with BM.

Then comes Music rights= BM 10 crore and Dilwale 19 crore
Satellite Rights= BM 50 crore and Dilwale 60 crore
Overseas Collection= After first week Dilwale has done almost double business than BM though BM had opened in more screens. (BM has opened in highest number of screens ever in US for any hindi movie.)

Final Verdict= BM will be a hit in both India and Overseas
Dilwale will be a hit in India and Blockbuster in overseas market.

SRK as producer will earn a lot but Distributors are going to lose almost half of their investment in Central and Northern India. Distributor of West Bengal and Odisha is probably having the best time of his life. Grand benefit for him.

End story, BM less benefit, more accolades, Dilwale more benefit, less accolades. Win-Win for both. (As I think SLB makes movies for art,SRK makes for money.)
