Dear Zindagi Budget, Screen Count, Economics
Featuring Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan in the lead, Dear Zindagi is being released this Friday. The film has been directed by Gauri Shinde who earlier helmed much acclaimed English Vinglish.
Dear Zindagi Budget:
The film has been made on a limited budget of approx 35 crore including production cost and marketing. However, this does not include the remuneration of Shahrukh Khan as he is the producer. If we add SRK’s market value (also considering that it is not his full-fledged role), then budget could be around 55-60 crore.
Dear Zindagi Screen Count:
It is expected to release in around 1200 screens mostly at multiplexes. Considering that Dear Zindagi is a niche film, it is a good number.
Dear Zindagi Economics:
The producer will be able to recover most of the investment through selling music, satellite and digital rights. The film is sold to distributors in 31 crore and will need a good run for recovering that price.

- Hit: 65 Cr
- Super Hit: 100 Cr
It is more of a niche film which will appeal toward the metro audience only. There is still cash crunch issue going on however Dear Zindagi will not be affected much. We are expecting it to have a decent opening and will largely depend on word of mouth.
