The last few months have been very good for Bollywood. We have seen some huge successful films like Piku, Tanu Weds Manu Returns, ABCD 2, Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The all eyes are now on today’s release Brothers.
Brothers was released today in around 3500 screens in India. The early trends show that film has taken a good opening at the box office.
Brothers has taken a good start at the box office on the Friday morning. The occupancy of Brothers in the morning shows was around 40-50%. The single screens are rocking where the opening is second best of 2015 after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But at the multiplexes, it is going below average. The opening is better than Akshay Kumar's last release Gabbar Is Back which was released on a holiday.
Brothers has been running in the same occupancy in the noon shows though it has shown a slight growth in North India where it had an average start. The key will be now the growth in evening and night shows.
Brothers is showing good growth in the evening shows. The overall occupancy was around 70% which is good. It is probably due to the advance booking as tomorrow is a big holiday. If the film maintained that pace in the late night shows then a very good first day above 15 crore can be expected.
Ideally The film should collect around 17-18 crore on its opening day. It will also show huge growth tomorrow. Last year Singham Returns released on 15 August collected 32 crore on its opening day.
The early reports are positive despite the film has got average reviews. We will continue to update this page throughout the day with latest reports. We will also post collections from some circuits soon. So bookmark this page and keep visiting.
