Salman Khan starrer Bharat is unarguably the biggest release of the year. The film which also stars Katrina Kaif and is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar will hit the screens tomorrow.
The producers have not revealed the actual budget of the film. However, as per the sources, the film has been made on the budget of approx 125 crores. Another 20-25 crores have been spent on marketing. Hence the total budget of the film will be in the range of 145-150 crores.
The film has been produced by Salman Khan himself hence he has not any fee for the film. Normally for other films, Salman takes satellite rights and shares profits with the producers.
Bharat Screen Count:
It is releasing in approx 4300 screens in India and 1300 screens in overseas. The film will have the largest release in UAE and Australia. It is also the first Salman Khan film to simultaneously release in Suadi Arabia.
The producers are already in the safe zone and have earned huge profits. They have recovered around 80 crore from its satellite and digital right sales. Salman has deals with the Star network and Amazon Prime Video for the same. They have also recovered 20 crores by selling music rights. The theatrical rights of the film have been sold for approx 150 crores.
Bharat is releasing on Eid which is the biggest holiday in terms of box office business. However last 2 Eid releases of Salman Khan failed at the box office. Bharat looks better than Tubelight and Race 3 but the craze is nowhere close to Sultan or Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
The advance booking has been pretty good so far. If the Eid falls on Wednesday, then the film is likely to target 40 crores on the opening day which would be a very good number.
