Badrinath Ki Dulhania Budget, Screen Count, Economics

Varun Dhawan’s first release of the year Badrinath Ki Dulhania will hit the screens this Friday. The film which also stars Alia Bhatt is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania Budget:

The total budget of the film stands at approx 47 crores including production cost and marketing (35+12). Most of Dharma films are made on a controlled budget and BDK is no exception.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania Screen Count:

Badrinath Ki Dulhania is expected to release in approximately 3000 screens which is a good number. The film will mainly attract the youth in cities and masses.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania Economics:

The film has been produced with smart economics. The producers have been able to recover most of the production costs. It was reportedly sold to Fox Star Studio in 40 crore but there are rumours that Fox has backed out from the project.

  • Satellite Rights: 18 Cr
  • Music, video and other rights: 12 Cr
  • Digital Rights: 8 Cr
  • Overseas: 4 Cr
  • Recover Costs: 70-75 Cr
  • Hit: 80 Cr
  • Super Hit: 115 Cr

Expectations:

Varun Dhawan has not faced a failure yet at the box office and enjoys a very good track record. The release period is dull due to exams season but there will be a holiday of Holi which will help the film in the first week. We are expecting it to have a good opening day of in the range of 11 crores and will be a box office success unless it turns out to be a very bad film.

  1. or agar hit hoti h to tu kha jake muh chupayega naresh at least release to hone do pehle hi bakwas shuru krdete ho or audience decide kregi tu nhi krega….

  2. these kind of nonsense movies shld be outrightly rejected which have lowered the bollywood standards and we r a laughing stock abroad.

  3. In Terms Of Entrainment Varun is One Of Those Actors Who Are Equally Trusted By Trade & Audiences.. Started His Career Wid Student Of The Year Which Was A MultiStarrer Still he Managed To show His Skills To Entertain Audiences Which Doesn’t Happen For Every Actor Just Look At Sidharte He’s Struggling On Box Office Even Though They Started Their Careers On the Same Day …May be his Last movie Dishoom wasn’t at the level of what. People were expecting but still it worked & got good collections.. if BKD receives gud response thn no one could stop it to enter in 100 crores club .. best of luck
