Baahubali Movie Review: Direction, Editing Screnplay
S.S Rajamouli is known as one of the finest film makers in India. He lives up to his reputation once again with Baahubali.
Rajamouli has come up with a very different story line. Writer V. Vijayendra Prasad deserve distinction marks for thinking up an engrossing screenplay which has masala for the audience and yet is not frivolous. Of course, the computer graphics, animation and visual effects are so phenomenal that the audience would stare at the screen in disbelief. The Tamil and Telugu film-going audience would definitely not complain but the Hindi film-going public surely will due to its plot line.
Rajamouli’s narrative skills are legendary. His direction is splendid, to say the least. Right from the concept of the subject to the scripting and to the execution, his efforts deserve distinction marks. Computer graphics, animation and visual effects are world class. Production and technical values are grand.
Cinematography is breathtaking. The editing should have been better as some section of the audience will find it boring. The music is average and especially Hindi version. An item song in the second half should have been avoided. Background score is terrificand lifts many scenes in the movie.
Baahubali Movie Review: Star Performances
Actor Prabhas is splendid in all the two roles. He is so good in all the two roles that it is difficult to imagine anybody else playing the roles. His six pack body, warrior outfit, war sequences will prove his terrific histrionic talents.
Rana Daggubati as an antagonist is the highlight of this film. He seems to have gone in the skin of character completely. He has given the performance of his lifetime.
Anushka Shetty as Devasena delieverd a brilliant performance. Her expressions as a prisoner are fantastic. Actress Tamanna as Avantika looks beautiful and it is sure that , the youngsters will spend sleepless nights after watching Tamanna as princess.
Actress Ramya Krishnan as a doting mother and ferocious care taker reminds us Nellambari in Narasimha. Her performance took this movie to another level. Rest of the actors also acted very well.
♦ VFX and Technical Extravaganza
♦ Action Scenes
♦ Imagine Bending Computer Graphics
♦ Prabhas and Rana Daggubati Powerful Act
♦ Un-Orthodox Climax
♦ Little Slow In The 1st Half
♦ Limited Appeal To Hindi Audience
♦ Average Music
