Akshay Kumar received tremendous response for his upcoming film, Airlift which is slated to release on January 26. This is not it, Akshay also announced that he will soon start shooting for his next film Rustom early next year.
Rustom is loosely based on real events and is set in the 1950s. An entertainment portal revealed that Akshay will don a completely different look for this project and is working hard for same. We surely can’t wait to know now is this handsome hunk will do which is so different than the rest of the characters he played on screen.
“The film is set in the late 1950s and is a pure work of fiction. Rustom is inspired from certain real life incidents that happened in the past and will be shot in India as well as in Britain,” Shital Bhatia of Friday Filmworks who will be co-producing the film told the website.
“Akshay Kumar‘s character in Rustom demands a completely new persona. Ameira Punvani, who is the costume designer, has already begun work on Akshay’s look. Though we can’t reveal much, the role is something that he has never played before,” she added.
The film has been written by Vipul K Rawal and will be directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, who is making his debut as a director
