The most anticipated clash of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay is going to happen in a couple of months. Both films have kickstarted promotional strategy as the posters and promos are out. The industry was hoping that both films will score well on Diwali. However, the clash has got ugly from the beginning itself.
It all started with the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil teaser. Everything was going smoothly till #AeDilHaiBomabyVelvt started trending in the evening and became a top trend within few minutes indicating that it was a paid trend. Obviously, it was done in a bad taste.
Soon #MostLovedADHMTeaser started trending and the other trend vanished from top 10. Things became suspicious then and we soon found out that it was also paid. In night #AeHitHaiMushkil became the hot topic on Twitter which was another paid trend.
After a little research, we found out that all three were paid trends and were generated from the same source (means they were trended by the same users). That was shocking, to say the least, that the same PR team was behind all these tags. Bollywood definitely does not have any moral values and only money matters the most for them.
Soon the other users also found out. As a protest, fans started trending “PAID TRENDS BY KARAN JOHAR” and “DIRTY GAME BY KARAN JOHAR”.
We tried to contact both the parties. AJ team has refused to comment on the situation. Dharma Productions is yet to give their stance.
