There were reports that the buzz for Fan has been decreased. The makers released Jabra Fan song on 16th February. Later on, 8 different versions of the songs were released in regional languages. The trailer was unveiled on 29th February and received a terrific response from audience and trade.
But after that, the film failed to sustain the pre-release buzz mainly due to poor marketing compaign. The promos were getting repetitive while the posters look the same. Plus there was cricket world cup going on and SRK was shooting for Raees at the same time.
With 7 days left for Fan, Luckily the buzz for the film has now started to build up. The 3 new dialogue promos have been released. SRK is going to different TV shows to promote Fan. The Madame Tussauds London will redress its Shah Rukh Khan figure as Gaurav, his character in Fan. And for the very first time in the history, it will be pulled out and set up at the London Eye on 13th April. The advance booking for will start from Sunday.
As for Trade is concerned, they are very much confident that Fan will sail through. The censor board report is also terrific but it cannot be reliable as they also said the same for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
Fan boasts of a unique concept which has never been tried in Bollywood before. It is completely different from what SRK has done in recent times. The fan is releasing on a non-holiday so it will be a crucial film for Shahrukh as he cannot afford two back to back under-performers. Anything under 160 crore will be a disappointment.
