Director SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali was released across China on July 22. The film has made good collections at the Chinese box office but the film has failed to beat the opening weekend record of PK. It was premiered in several locations on Thursday night. The movie opened to collected approximately $0.12 million at the China box office on the first day. The film showed decent growth and raked in $0.25 million and $0.25 million Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Thus Baahubali: The Beginning collected approximately $0.63 million gross at the Chinese box office in the first weekend.
In comparison, Aamir Khan’s PK collected $5.32 million. His another release Dhoom 3 collected $3.17 million. Baahubali is nowhere close to both these films. Actually, China box office is only ruled by Aamir Khan from Bollywood. None of the Indian films have really worked in China except Dhoom 3, 3 Idiots or PK.
On Monday, Bahubali has faced further drop and has collected $0.09 million. Bahubali box office collection stands at $720k in China in four days.
